One of the most important decisions you will make is what you choose to pursue as a career. High school is the time in which you should explore careers so that you can make an informed decision about what you love to do so  that you can choose a career that will help you be happy. 
 

Below is a list of websites that can help you get information about potential careers. Take time to explore them, especially Naviance. Use your PowerSchool username and password to log into Naviance.

Check the Utah Occupational Explorer at the DWS website
Naviance

This should be your number one site for college and career info. Naviance is a comprehensive online program with detailed information about careers and career clusters, including interest inventories to help students identify possible careers. There are also videos from Road Trip Nation of interviews with people in the careers. This website requires students to log in with their username and password from PowerSchool.

UtahFutures

UtahFutures is a website created by the state of Utah to help students explore careers and colleges. The website includes assessments for students to help them explore and identify their skills and their interests in order to prepare them for life after high school. 

Utah Data Alliance

The Utah Data Alliance has great information about careers in Utah, college degrees, wage information, and where college graduates are employed along with much more information about schools and careers.

O*Net Online

O*Net Online is a great resource from the US Department of Labor that provides information about different careers, their requirements and skills required, job availability and projected job growth, and other valuable details about specific careers and career clusters. 

Online Occupational Handbook
The OOH is a database created by the US Dept of Labor, and is designed to help you find career information on duties, education and training, pay, and outlook for hundreds of occupations.
