Regents' Scholarship Info

The Regents' Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students who take specific classes and earn good grades in those classes. The total amount of the scholarship has not yet been determined. The total amount of the award will depend upon the number of applicants who receive the award.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CLASS OF 2019 AND BEYOND

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

   Take the required classes in grades 9-12 (see pages 4-8)D Earn at least a 3.3 cumulative high school GPA
   Earn at least a composite score of 22 on the ACT
   Meet college enrollment or deferment requirements

NON-ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

   Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)D Meet all deadlines
   Graduate from a Utah high school
   Be a US citizen or a non-citizen eligible for federal financial aid

UESP Supplemental Award: This award is given to students if they meet the requirements and they contribute $100 each year to their Utah Education Savings Plan account while they are 14, 15, 16, and 17. The state will match those contributions up to $100 during those years.
